COVID-19 Protocols

Clay Space has cautiously moved to make masks optional for members and students, however, we support those who wish to remain masked.

You can purchase a mask from Clay Space here or in person.

Clay Space will monitor state and local health department notices daily about transmission in the area and will adjust our operations as necessary.

Ventilation

We have 2 new HVAC systems with enhanced, MERV-13 filters for heating, cooling, and airflow. Our system will be set to increase the amount and number of times per hour the air is exchanged with fresh air. Our facility has windows running the length of the studio on both sides and will be opened to help with the airflow. Our front and back entrances can also be opened as necessary.

Occupancy

Classes Our Adult & Kids handbuilding classes are capped at 9 students and wheelthrowing classes will be capped at 11 per class. Allotted bench hours will require sign up to maintain the maximum capacity number of our center.

Membership Members have sign ups for up to 4-hour work slots in any one area in order to maintain the maximum capacity number and provide all members with equal access. All members need to sign up to use the wheels, handbuilding stations, glaze station & spray booth.

Studio Safety Guidelines

All staff, members, students, faculty and visitors are required to follow these policies. Everyone will be asked to sign a Health Certification form to agree to studio safety protocols.

Before Coming to Clay Space

If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or have recently been in close contact with others who have any symptoms of COVID-19, please do not come to Clay Space. Self-quarantine for at least five days from when your symptoms began (or if you had no symptoms, your test date).

Please do not return if you still have symptoms after five days. Your privacy will be respected, but we need to begin contact tracing IMMEDIATELY to help control potential spread of the virus. We will communicate the potential of risk to the community, and may need to close for a short time for intensive cleaning and disinfection.
