Clay Date
A 1.5-hour introduction to ceramics for kids ages 5-13 or a parent/guardian and child
(3-4 year olds welcome with parent/guardian)
Perfect for friends and siblings who want to try ceramics without committing to a camp, or create a special day with a child and adult. Each participant will create one ceramic pieces with instructor guidance. If you choose to keep pieces, your instructor will finish, glaze, and fire your work for $20 per piece. Finished work will be ready in about 6 weeks. You’ll receive an email when they are ready for pick up.
In this 1.5 hour handbuilding lesson, participants will:
Learn basic clay techniques
Complete a functional or sculptural project Select a color for their piece (we handle the glazing) or if time permits, participants can underglaze on your piece and we’ll glaze it with clear for $20 per piece.

Cancellation Policy:
Email for a refund less $20 cancellation fee more than 1 week in advance. Cancel for full credit to a future date up to 1 week in advance and up to 72 hours in advance with a $20 rescheduling fee. No refund for requests made within 48 hours before the start of the event or no-shows. Email Events@clayspacebk.com with your cancellation or rescheduling request.
We May Cancel:
If the class does not fill sufficiently, we may cancel and try to move students to another class, apply tuition to another class or semester, or provide a full refund.
*Disclaimer: Please note, the ceramic process may result in your piece not making it through one or both of the firings. Should your piece not survive, Clay Space will replace it with a piece as close to the one you made, but it will not be an exact match.
