Clay Date
A 1.5-hour introduction to ceramics for kids ages 5-13 or a parent/guardian and child
(3-4 year olds welcome with parent/guardian)
Perfect for friends and siblings who want to try ceramics without committing to a camp, or create a special day with a child and adult. Each participant will create one ceramic pieces with instructor guidance. If you choose to keep pieces, your instructor will finish, glaze, and fire your work for $20 per piece. Finished work will be ready in about 6 weeks. You’ll receive an email when they are ready for pick up.
In this 1.5 hour handbuilding lesson, participants will:
Learn basic clay techniques
Complete a functional or sculptural project Select a color for their piece (we handle the glazing) or if time permits, participants can underglaze on your piece and we’ll glaze it with clear for $20 per piece.
