TryNights & ClayDates
TryNight is a 2-hour one-time class with up to 12 people where you can sample a clay experience and share time with your bestie, date, partner, or family. Our warm and welcoming atmosphere will provide a fun way to spend creative time together or as a gift to yourself.
Clay Date is a 1.5 hour lesson that provides you and your date, friend, child, parent, or other combination of 2 people with a hands-on lesson that’s like a TryNight but with more privacy.

Wheel Throwing TryNight
Beginner & all level
$90 per person

During this 2 hour one-off class, a skilled instructor will lead students in a wheel throwing group lesson, teaching you the art of centering and helping you get a feel for the wheel. No experience is necessary. We will glaze and fire the piece of your choice, included with the lesson. Additional work can be glazed and fired for $20 per piece. Finished work will be ready in about 6 weeks. You’ll receive an email when they are ready for pick up.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes in advance of class to get settled in.

This 2 hour handbuilding one-off class is a great way to try your hand at making tableware with clay without a semester long commitment. No experience is necessary. We will glaze and fire the piece of your choice, included with the lesson. Additional work can be glazed and fired for $20 per piece. Finished work will be ready in about 6 weeks. You’ll receive an email when they are ready for pick up.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes in advance of class to get settled in.

Experience the excitement of making with clay through handbuilding. We will be using slabs, templates and plaster molds to construct unique one of a kind pieces for your home. Different from the wheel you will be able to actually create your vision and bring it to life in just a short amount of time. This offering is perfect for gift making too!
In this 2 hour class a skilled instructor will walk you through the steps of making a simple form (cups, mugs, vases, bowls), no larger than 7" in any direction, that you can embellish with handles, texture, applique, and other techniques to personalize your piece. No prior experience necessary! We will glaze and fire the piece of your choice which is included in the cost of the lesson. Additional work can be glazed and fired for $20 per piece.

Cancellation Policy:
Email for a refund less $20 cancellation fee more than 1 week in advance. Cancel for full credit to a future date up to 1 week in advance and up to 72 hours in advance with a $20 rescheduling fee. No refund for requests made within 48 hours before the start of the event or no-shows. Email Education@clayspacebk.com with your cancellation or rescheduling request.
We May Cancel:
If the class does not fill sufficiently, we may cancel and try to move students to another class, apply tuition to another class or semester, or provide a full refund.

ClayDate - Wheel Throwing or handbuilding

Do you prefer a private date night for 2 instead?
